Think About The Guest List:

Before you start looking at venues and costs you'll need an idea of numbers. Start with a 'must have' list of close family and friends, then create a secondary 'maybe' list of distant relatives, school friends, work colleagues etc.

Start Saving:

Once you have an idea in your head of the sort of wedding you would like, it is important to start saving for your special day. Work out what you can afford to spend and how much extra you might need to save for the day you want. Opening a wedding savings account can be a good idea and making a few small cut-backs if you can , will really help to save the pennies.

Save The Date:

This doesn't have to be a mind boggling art and craft project, with expensive calligraphy and brushed gold but if you are like me and you want to create a sparkling masterpiece to wow your friends and family then go right ahead. Alternatively if you are sticking to a strict budget a simple design will work perfectly. It is actually becoming more popular to send an email or to create a Facebook group message, this definitely is an efficient way of telling everyone. Whatever you decide on, the main aim is to let everyone know when you are getting married, sooner rather than later so no one misses out on your special day.

Some suppliers, particularly photographers will get booked up well in advance, so it is definitely worth doing your research early and booking your dream photographer in plenty of time. You may be able to get a head start on this when you visit venues, a lot of venues will have a list of their preferred suppliers so make sure you ask.

Also think about investing in a few targeted products to help with an specific problems.
