With the excitement of New York and Barcelona's Bridal Weeks, we have had our first look at the bridal trends for Spring 2018. From vintage glamour and oversized blooms to trouser suits and blue gowns the Spring 2018 bridal collections definitely have the WOW factor.
Take a look at our favourite Romantica and Opulence Bridal gowns that are set to be trendsetters for Spring 2018.

Caped Crusaders

Capes may of seemed liked a 'one season wonder' but they have stood the test of time, with nearly every designer showing at least one wedding dress topped off with a cute cropped capelet or a dramatic full-length cape. This trend definitely has a regal charm, that may of stemmed from the success of The Crown series with brides looking to replicate our Monarch's elegance and charm. Larnica is an elegant choice that bares a subtle nod to the cape trend, making it perfect for a modest bride and don't forget that a decadent lace bolero can add a sophisticated touch to any bridal gown, our Honduras gown is a stunning example.

50 Shades of Black

It looks like a white wedding dress is no longer a bride's only option. From full black wedding gowns to subtle accents with black ribbons, gloves, hairpieces, and other accessories, brides have so many options to make this trend their own.

Indira is a perfect choice to fit the black bridal trend, giving you a glamorous style with subtle black accents. We will also be introducing hand beaded black belts into our brand new collection, giving brides a chic option to add a touch of black.

Something Blue

Something old, something new, something borrowed…and a blue wedding dress?! That's how designers saw the old tradition for 2018.
Whether it's pale blue, ice blue, stone blue or a subtle blue under layer, we have this trend covered with gorgeous gowns including Montana, Seattle and Plymouth. This year we've seen blush take centre stage but next year it's all about blue.

The Height Of Fashion

There was a hint of saloon fashion this season, with the sassy Victorian inspired trend of 2017 taking on a wild west twist for 2018. High neck styles were all over the bridal runways, with models wearing everything from lace chokers atop an illusion bodice to ruffled high-neck halters.
Courtney is a the perfect high neck gown to fit the sophisticated trend for Spring 2018. While Sicily, Victoria, Aruba, Devon and Melbourne are just a few of the other great high neck styles we have available, there's definitely a style for every bride.

Sassy Shortie

From minis to midis, hemlines took things up a notch this season. All over the runways, designers were taking things up and showing calf-grazing mid-length tea dresses and sexy leg-baring minis. This is such a versatile trend with brides able to go for a striking shortie or a hi-low hem for a subtle nod to the trend.
Tea length gowns have always been a fabulous alternative to a full length gown. Lisheen is a brand new style for the Opulence Bridal collection, that is perfect for this trend. While Janine offers a vintage edge and Aruba is the perfect hi-low hem design.

Chic Tailoring

Brides are definitely wearing the pants this season, if designers have anything to say about it. Trouser suits, jumpsuits and even elegantly tailored trousers were layered beneath a full ballgown skirt for a striking combination on the runways for Spring 2018.
Unfortunately we don't have a bridal trouser suit but fear not as we have the gorgeous Zoe in our Romantica Bridesmaids collection. This style could easily be transformed into a chic bridal 2-piece trouser suit in ivory, blush or pale blue for a bride looking to follow this striking trend.

Giant Bows

Bows aren't going anywhere. After making a splash last season, bows have gotten even bigger and bolder for 2018 drawing on 80s style hits. All the designers are betting on bows making a serious style statement this season and it showed in their Spring 18 collections.
Margot is a great choice for this trend, the bow detail adds a vintage touch to this luxurious gown. While our gorgeous tea length gown Janine's front bow detail gives a chic nod to Audrey Hepburn unforgettable style.

Fringe Effect

With vintage styles making a comeback across the fashion world in recent years, it was about time the 20s had their turn. It looks like all those years dressing up as a flapper girl for Halloween may of actually helped you make wedding-dress decisions today. In both long and mini styles, fringing made its sassy way onto many designer wedding gowns.
We have lots of exciting new fabrics for 2018 including fringing ....watch this space for exciting new designs coming in 2018.

Mother Of Pearl

Pearls may make you think of your childhood, when you raided your mother's jewellery box for dress up essentials but they are making a luxurious come back into bridal. With designers showcasing pearl-accented necklines and pearl- encrusted dresses.
Bordeaux definitely has the WOW factor for this trend, with it's stunning pearl hand beaded detailing, while Tamsin offers a soft pearl accent with it's bold belt detail. If you've already chosen your gown then fear not this luxurious trend can be followed through in your accessories, layer pearl necklaces for a bold statement or take a subtle approach with elegant pearl drop earrings.

Statement Gloves

Talk about ladylike! Maybe it's an homage to Amal Clooney's standout Oscar style, but gloves were a big hit for fashion-forward brides, in both wrist and elbow length. It might just be time to consider making this statement on your wedding, bringing a bit of Hollywood glamour to your style.
Taking inspiration from Olivia Grace Bridal's editorial shoot, gloves are definitely an elegant and chic bridal trend. Accessorising with an elegant pair of gloves is a trend that will suit any bridal style and gloves would definitely be the perfect accessory for a Autumn / Winter bridal look.

Bare Shoulders

Off the shoulder gowns have been a key trend this year and shoulders are set to remain bare for Spring 2018. This Spring season off-the-shoulder styles graced every runway and the statement cold shoulder (just cut outs) trend was introduced. Cold shoulder styles have been a big hit on the high street and it is sure to become an elegant alternative to off the shoulder styles for brides, offering more support for fuller busts and coverage for more modest brides.
Thelma is the perfect choice, with its elegant lace bodice and sparkling beaded detail but if you prefer a sparkle free gown then look no further than our sophisticated Matilda gown.

Guipure Lace

There's nothing quite as romantic as a lace wedding dress and this season Guipure lace features heavily. Whether it's a full lace gown or just a touch of lace you would like, there are plenty of choices available.
Lucinda is the perfect choice for a bride looking for a ballgown style with a touch of lace but if you are looking to WOW your guests with a full lace gown then our Austria gown is an elegant choice.

3-D Floral Embroidery

3-D florals have dominated wedding dresses for many seasons and this Spring season was no different. In both small and oversized blooms, floral embroidery flourished in the Spring 2018 bridal collections. The ultimate feminine statement, florals and bridal have always been a winning combination and the partnership is set to thrive in 2018.
Annabelle is the perfect elegant choice with it's subtle nod to the 3-D floral trend but watch this space for more 3-D florals in our upcoming 2018 collection.
